Customer Service Representative

We need a customer service representative to join our team that will be responsible for the serving of patients in need of home medical equipment and supplies. 

Experience in medical equipment field preferred, but will consider other medical and health professional experience/education. 
 

 

Responsibilities of this position: 

  • ​Serve patients of a variety of ages by assessing their need and providing them with the home medical equipment and supplies that best meet those needs.

  • Maintaining a professional retail and work area while communicating inventory needs to better serve patients.

  • Communicate with customers or referral sources to receive orders for delivery, pick-up, discontinuance, maintenance or changes in service.

  • Collect information from patients or doctors that will help document the patients needs and to have the best chance for insurances to pay for the equipment or supplies.

  • Complete verification of insurance for DME coverage to effectively communicate to patients their responsibilities.

  • Schedules deliveries, pick-ups, discontinuances, maintenance or changes in service.

  • Provides patient/client orientation and instruction on the proper use and safety of equipment.

  • Must have customer service skills to work with clients in office setting.

  • Maintains a neat, clean personal appearance.
