Respiratory On-Call Technician

We need On-Call Respiratory technicians to join our team that will be responsible for trouble shooting and problem solving for after-hours needs of patients with home oxygen, nebulizers and PAP therapy devices.  This position would be a part-time position where the technician would be on-call after 5 PM during the week and on weekends on a rotating basis (subject to change for holidays too).  You would be paid for being on-call and for any call outs.  This responsibility would be rotated to other technicians on a weekly basis.   There may be some varying hours during the week, during the day, as well if you are available.

 

Experience in medical equipment field preferred but will consider other installation or maintenance experience/education. 

 

Responsibilities of this position: 

  • Takes “on call” time on a predetermined, rotating basis.

  • Will gain expertise in Medical Oxygen, Nebulizers and PAP Therapies.

  • Will deliver home medical equipment to patients.

  • Services and maintains equipment in patients’ home and at the office.

  • Provides patient/client orientation, instructing on the proper use, maintenance, and safety of equipment.

  • Must have customer service skills to work with clients in office and home setting.

  • Works with patients/clients to solve a variety of problems, thereby acting as a company field representative.

  • Assists in cleaning and disinfecting rental equipment.  Assists in minor repair work within scope of training.

  • Maintains a neat, clean personal appearance.

  • TX class C driver's license required; driving record and background check may be required.

  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs as needed.
